DGU Glass
DGU Glass (Double Glazed Unit)
Our Double Glazed Units (DGU), also known as Insulated Glass Units (IGU), are designed with two panes of glass separated by a hermetically sealed spacer bar and filled with dry air or noble Argon gas. This creates a superior thermal barrier, dramatically reducing heat transfer in summer and heat loss in winter, while filtering out heavy outdoor sound frequencies.
Technical Specifications
Thermal insulation metrics and structural parameters.
| Characteristic | Specifications |
|---|---|
| Overall Thickness Range | 14mm to 40mm+ (e.g. 6mm Glass + 12mm Spacer + 6mm Glass) |
| Maximum Dimensions | 2440 mm x 3660 mm |
| Spacer Materials | Aluminum desiccant-filled spacers or warm-edge thermal spacers |
| Sealing Technology | Dual Sealing: Primary PIB (Butyl) & Secondary (Polysulfide or Structural Silicone) |
| Acoustic Reduction | 32 - 45 dB sound reduction depending on glass configurations |
| Dew Point Control | Below -40°C (Guarantees zero condensation inside the air cavity) |
Common Applications
Where energy efficiency and sound absorption are essential.
Residential Residences
Keeps modern villas and luxury apartments quiet, cool, and comfortable.
Soundproof Meeting Rooms
Drastically reduces conversations leaking and external sound interference.
Energy-Saving Windows
Lowers carbon footprint by reducing thermal leakage in commercial properties.
Cold Storage Facilities
Maintains critical temperatures in freezers, wine cellars, and laboratories.
